Netflix Adds TikTok-Style Vertical Feed to Help You Discover New Shows

Netflix is introducing a new feature in its mobile app: a TikTok-style vertical video feed designed to help users discover new content through short clips. This feature allows users to swipe through personalized video snippets from Netflix’s library. If a clip captures your interest, you can immediately start watching the full show or movie, add it to your watchlist, or share it with friends.

This isn’t Netflix’s first foray into short-form video; previous features like “Fast Laughs” and “Kids Clips” focused on comedy and children’s content, respectively. However, this new vertical feed aims to provide a broader, more personalized experience by curating clips based on individual viewing habits.

The vertical video feed will be available globally on iOS and Android devices in the coming weeks. Netflix is also rolling out a redesigned TV app interface, featuring a more intuitive homepage and improved content recommendations.

These updates reflect Netflix’s efforts to enhance user engagement and content discoverability, adapting to changing viewer preferences and the growing popularity of short-form video content.
