Google has officially released a dedicated iPadOS version of its Gemini app, moving beyond the previous iOS compatibility mode to offer a more seamless and optimized experience for iPad users.
The new app supports multitasking with split-view functionality, allowing users to place Gemini side by side with other applications. It also introduces several powerful features:
- Gemini Live: Engage in natural, free-flowing conversations in over 45 languages.
- Deep Research: Quickly generate reports and gather information, saving significant time.
- Audio Overview: Easily process and understand audio files.
- Canvas: Co-create and edit documents and code in an innovative space built for collaboration with AI.
- Image and Video Generation: Bring your ideas to life by generating stunning, varied images and videos directly on your iPad.
Additionally, users can now add Gemini as a homescreen widget and connect it to their Google Photos library. The updated Audio Overview feature, which initially launched in English for Gemini and Gemini Advanced subscribers, has been expanded to support over 45 languages globally.
The dedicated iPad app is available today and can be downloaded directly from the App Store.
