At the 2025 Config conference, Figma CEO Dylan Field announced the company’s most significant product expansion to date, introducing four AI-driven tools aimed at broadening Figma’s design capabilities. These tools include:
- Figma Make: An AI-powered prototyping assistant that helps users build functional apps and prototypes from descriptions or designs.
- Figma Sites: A website builder and hosting platform that integrates with Figma Design, allowing designers to create and publish websites directly from Figma.
- Figma Buzz: An AI-powered marketing asset generator designed to assist enterprise teams in creating brand-approved templates and diverse content like emails and social media posts.
- Figma Draw: A vector illustration tool that offers capabilities similar to Adobe Illustrator, embedded across Figma platforms.
Field emphasized that while AI streamlines the creation process, human-crafted design remains crucial for producing standout products. He noted that these new tools are not intended to replace designers but to enhance their workflows by reducing repetitive tasks and enabling faster iteration.
Figma’s strategic push into new digital creation tools reflects its commitment to staying relevant in the evolving intersection of design and AI. By integrating AI into its platform, Figma aims to empower designers to bring their ideas to life more efficiently while maintaining the quality and creativity that human designers provide.
